Students love “Math Around the Room,” and this activity is perfect for the end of the year... minimal prep, review of concepts, and lots of fun!
Print one copy of each colored page. (You can print it in black and white, too, using the grayscale feature on your printer!) Cut the pages into six sections each, so that you have 24 separate problems. Tape each of the 24 problems in a different area in the classroom. Your students will love searching for them! (suggestions: doorknob, easel, chalk tray, paper towel dispenser, etc.)
Copy the black and white pages in the two sided format, so that students have two papers stapled together, but all four pages total. Instruct students to find the problems, solve, and write the answers on the recording pages in the space that matches the picture.
Follow up and help children correct their own work by gathering all the cards, and working through them in a whole class or small group format.
