This unique resource was designed with TUTORS in mind, but its uses are endless! As a teacher, I often find myself in the position of tutoring a student outside of class. Sometimes I do this as a paid side gig, and other times as a necessity for a student who really needs it. Either way, I never seem to have enough time to pull together resources and a plan for our time together. Like all things teaching, without a plan tutoring sessions can quickly become an unfocused waste of time. I created this resource to give other tutors the tools they need at their fingertips to provide extra help to students, without sacrificing valuable planning time.
Is this resource JUST for tutors? NO!! The resources and games in this pack would also be great additions to small group time within school hours. It would also be perfect for the parent that his been told her child is behind and could use some extra practice, but doesn't have a clue what that extra practice should look like.
So what's included?
This pack is the first addition to the extra help program, and includes 4 weeks of games, resources, lesson plans and assessments. The skills targeted in this pack include short /a/, /i/, and /o/, the final -ck pattern, and plural -s ending. It includes sight word practice, targeting Fry's first 25 words (although an editable file is included to use your own sight word list!). There is comprehension and fluency practice, along with some writing skills.
