This includes high frequency word tests for each unit. I always make two copies of the tests for each student. I keep one for my records and send one home in a binder with the child. I record the words they miss on both sheets along with their score. This helps me keep everything organized. Parents also love it because they can look at the end of each week to see their child's score and what they need to continue to study. It also includes flash cards for each unit. I always make a copy for each student and get them laminated. I like to get each unit copied on a different color of paper. I keep these words for the life of the reading series. I staple together two quart sized zipper bags. On one bag I write words I know and on the other bag I write words I need to practice. I add a new units words as we begin each new unit. By the end of the year, all units will be in the bags. I test the students over all the words. If the child knows the words in a snap, I put them in the words I know bag. If they have trouble with the word, I put is in the words I need to practice bag. The flash cards are great for teaching assistants and parent volunteers to use to drill students on.
