Keep your students busy with homework activities for the entire school year- aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Pick from 145+ engaging activities. Choose activities in the order of your curriculum map. Activities are easily adaptable to meet the needs of all your students.
THIS PACKET CONTAINS ACTIVITIES, NOT WORKSHEETS! Parents love having meaningful activities to do with their children, rather than trying to get them to sit and do worksheets.
When asked about my homework folder one parent said, "I loved Mrs. Toelupe's homework folder. It is so organized and makes homework much easier to accomplish at home. I loved knowing what was expected of my child each week and really enjoyed the options that allowed me to choose what homework activities would work best for my child and her needs. Not only was the homework adaptable to different levels, but it also included such fun options to keep learning at home enjoyable and fun for parents and the student."
How to Implement the Homework Folder:
Run off the entire Homework folder for each student; pg 1-43. (I run off the copies front to back, this way I don't use as much paper.) Place the homework folder in a three prong folder with pockets. (I buy the plastic folders because they last the entire school year.)
Each week create a new weekly homework sheet. (There is a master of the weekly homework sheet on page 45 of the homework folder) Assign an activity for each day of the week and write the number corresponding to the activity on the weekly homework sheet. For example, let's say on Wednesday you want your students to complete activity #21-Family Names and Syllables. Put #21 in the text box under Wednesday on the Weekly Homework Sheet. (I save my weekly homework sheets and use them year after year with a little tweaking of course.)
The folder can be used as your homework for the year. It also can be used for learning activities during centers, whole group instruction, or tutoring.
