*Updated for the 2016-2017 school year!*
This 24-page packet includes a Daily Warm Up worksheet for every school-day in December! This packet was designed to simplify the morning routine. I use these worksheets for my morning work time - each day I provide my students with one Daily Warm Up to complete as part of the morning routine. These worksheets are repetitive, to improve independence skills, automaticity and routines. Additionally, these worksheets focus on first grade math skills within the Numbers and Operations in Base Ten and Operations and Algebraic Thinking strands of the First Grade Math CCSS. This packet in particular is designed to serve as a review of the previously practiced skills from the October and November Daily Warm Ups. However, if you do not have these products, this packet can be used without them!
Other uses for this product include (but are not limited to): enrichment, extra support, fast finishers, & homework.
I would like to add that some students may not be at the mathematical level to complete the standards-based portion of these warm ups with 100% independence at the first grade level. A suggestion I have for this situation, is to have students complete the Daily Calendar portion of the warm up independently, and focus on each standard in a whole or small group setting. By 2nd grade, these standards, though no longer adequate for 2nd grade instructional time, may be perfect review of the standards, especially during the beginning of the year!
These worksheets, while marketed toward an December-themed classroom, can be used at any point throughout the school year!
