Welcome to Silly Scary Stuff, Place Value: Multiple Representation. This unit contains lots of practice with representing numbers to one nundred. Learning to representing numbers in a variety of ways is critical to the development of first grade number sense. I have used these practice pages over and over in centers and for independent practice. This skill is aligned with the Common Core (1.NBT.2b) and with the TEKS (1.1B)
The unit includes five colorful guided practice/reteaching pages for projection or for small group intervention and thirty-two printer friendly (black and whitgraphics) pages for independent practice or for math centers. The color pages print equally well in black and white and in color!
I use ‘guided math’ in my classroom. I begin our math time teaching math concepts with the whole group, but most of my math block is devoted to guided practice in small groups followed by independent practice, small group practice, centers and math games. Included in this resource are guided practice pages that can be used for small group work or for intervention.
I hope you find this resource helpful. Don’t forget to review this product and check back for more fun stuff to come.
