These homework activity sheets were created for high achieving first grade math students as an alternative to regular math homework activities. In my first grade classroom, I often have a handful of students who do not need extra practice on the math skills we are working on in class. These students learn quickly and often master skills after one lesson. In order to provide them with more challenging homework activities, I created these homework sheets.
The first side follows a similar pattern (see preview or thumbnails).
I have provided a copy of the parent letter I use and an additional copy for you to customize
There are 36 two sided sheets. The 37th two sided sheet is generic so you can fill numbers and other details to create additional sheets if needed.
In addition, there is a duplicate set of sheets with a name line on BOTH sides (I removed the word “homework” in the title and deleted the “adult helper signature” line as well). This allows you to use the sheets for other purposes such as
Math Center Work
Sub Tub work
These activities could also be used for differentiation in a second grade classroom for students needing more practice on first grade skills.
Be sure to check the preview before purchasing to see if these worksheets will meet your needs.
