First Grade Monthly Writing Portfolio

⭐ Want a super simple way to document student growth in writing? Print off these monthly writing paper pages and a cover for each child and staple! Once a month, give students their portfolio and have them write about anything that's important to them or to a given prompt. This is a great resource for conference time to show growth. It's also a great reflective tool for students to look back at each month as they progress through the school year. This document comes with a boy cover and a girl cover. It also contains colored and black and white documents. There is a blank page included for students that write more than the one monthly header page.

⭐ I like to put my students' writing samples in plastic sleeves in a 3-prong folder or binder. I glue the cover sheets to the front of the binder or folder. I pull the portfolio out at conferences to show the students and parents the progress that's been made. I also let the students take the entire portfolio home at the end of the year.
