First Grade Morning Message Bundle {Fall, Winter, and Spring Themes}

The messages are intended to be introduced on Monday mornings. It is best used projected on a screen to highlight any reading or writing skills and then printed and placed at a center for the entire week. When students come to the Morning Message Center, they follow the routine until it is complete and ready to be turned in to the teacher. Only one Morning Message will be introduced each week and each is written to be informational and relevant to various themes throughout the season.
Copying the Morning Message will give students handwriting practice. Drawing a picture to go along with the message will help them to understand and connect the passage to their own real-life experiences. Identifying the capital letters and punctuation marks will help them to better understand sentence structure. Lastly, reading the passage to their friends will help them with their fluency.
