Are you looking for a new way to have your first graders practice their phonics skills? I put my weekly phonics skills into QR codes. My students scan the QR code, read the phonics word and then write the word on their recording sheet or in their journal.
I use these QR codes as an independent station. All you have to do is print the file. My students use the "Scan" app created by QR Code City to scan their words. Please check out the preview file for more directions on how to use this product and to look at a sample page. In the table of contents, you will see the phonics skills that are included in this product. The skills in this packet align with Pearson Reading Street 2013 Grade 1 Unit 3. You may also look below to see the words that are included.
