This is a chart that covers several different First Grade Common Core NBT and OA Math standards for a given number. It was designed for use on a calendar wall. It could also be used for seatwork or a center.
Dice are rolled to get the two digits for the "number of the day." The number is then written on the chart in several places. Students are to identify tens and ones, and a tens and ones model is drawn next to that - 1.NBT.2
The chart also includes the addition and subtraction problems +/- 2 for the given number, which covers 1.OA.5 - relating addition and subtraction to counting on and back. Ten more, ten less, one more, and one less are also given.
The final part of the chart is 1.NBT.3 - Students are asked to think of numbers that are greater than or less than the given number.
For higher level thinking, students are also given 2 places to write addition or subtraction problems that have the number of the day as the answer.
There are two copies of it - black and white, and outline form to add your own sparkle!
