BRRRR- it's cold outside! This craftivity aims to get your kids engaged and interested in place value while they work to do a hands-on craft activity that integrates arts. The finished product turns out so cute and makes great displays for bulletin boards or outside hallways.
Included in this packet are all of the following:
-Printables kids will need to use for their posters (My snowflake is made of... and then a break down of the place value of the number...) I've included 2 different versions: a color AND a black and white version to choose from!
-An example of a finished product to show your students
-Signs to hang (in a fun font!) if you chose to make a display with student finished work. I've included a 1 page sign and also larger printed words for a bigger bulletin board.
Aligns with Common Core for first grade math:
CCSS.Math.Content. 1.NBT.B.2 Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones.
**Although this activity does have Christmas / holiday undertones, no holiday is specifically mentioned anywhere in the packet and this could be displayed all through the winter season!**
