Product Description

This fun bingo game is a great way to help students practice their sight words in an engaging way! This product is designed to align with the National Geographic Reach for Reading Curriculum and incorporates the sight words from all eight instructional units. There is a bingo game for each of the eight units. For each unit, there are eight different versions of the bingo boards. Each board features all 24 words from that unit, allowing students practice with each word. This game is perfect for use during small reading groups and allows for an easy way to check how well students have mastered the high frequency words from that unit. It is also great for use in literacy centers, or you could make multiple copies of the boards and use it as a whole class game. Each unit also includes both a list of the sight words featured in the unit and the words on cards for the person calling the words to use. To reduce the amount of pieces needed, I often just print the word list and slide it in a write and wipe sleeve and cross off words as I call them. However, you can easily print the word cards instead so that you or students can select and read the words for the players to cover. I like the print the boards on colored cardstock and laminate them to use over and over. Each board and word list is also clearly labeled with the unit to make organization easy. I also like to color code the boards and pieces by unit to make it easy to keep materials together. Happy teaching and I hope you and your students love this game!
