This is a PDF file containing printable first grade sight word tracing cards. There are four words per page with a total of 103 sight words. The words are dotted and are on a blue chevron background (graphics by Ashley Hughes). The words in this document are aligned specifically to Oswego District #308. Sight words include: the, of, and, to, a, in, is, that, it, was, for, you, he, on, as, are, they, with, be, his, at, or, from, had, I, not, have, this, but, by, were, one, all, she, when, an, like, there, her, can, we, what, about, up, said, out, if, some, would, so, who, very, two, than, no, me, look, him, am, go, see, man, do, us, saw, has, day, into, play, mother, get, big, their, come, went, here, them, asked, my, back, how, did, then, will, over, now, just, after, little, put, I’m, away, came, going, make, before, your, don’t, because, our, too, could, & where.
To use, cut the pages into quarters, laminate, single-hole punch, and connect with a large ring. Have students trace the words with a dry-erase marker.
This is great as a literacy center for pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second grade. Also great for fine motor and handwriting practice. I use it as a Daily 5 Word Work station (and sometimes a Work on Writing station for my lower students).
