Special Note: The New Social Studies standards are heavy on Inquiry-Based skills. The lessons in this unit are designed to put the learning in the hands of the students while the teacher is the facilitator; therefore, they are rigorous. Due to the rigor of the lesson design (since they are inquiry-based and student-centered) this unit would be ideal to implement second semester. Tasks are editable to fit your students' needs. Editable tasks do not contain fancy font or clip art due to the fact they are editable. See below for lesson details.
