This package is meant to accompany the picture book ‘Just a Walk’ and is the first of a series of activity packages that will focus on Canadian First Nations story books by First Nations and Aboriginal authors.
Just a walk is written by Cree author Jordan Wheeler, and Haida illustrator Christopher Auchter. This book is about a boy who goes on a walk around his reserve community. This story is written in rhyme, and is silly and fun to read. Chuck meets a variety of animals on his walk and encounters a variety of problems before he arrives back home at the end of the day.
I have provided a variety of activities to be used with this beautifully written story book.
