First, Next, and Last Sequencing Part 2 helps students build expressive and receptive language while answering simple questions. What happened first? What happened next? What happened last? There are 16 sequencing simple stories that come with 3 pictures each. Sequencing will help students with ordering events, sorting, and logical thinking. This product can be used for students who have special education goals involving retelling. Teachers have also used this product as one of their center activities.
Directions: The teacher or the students depending on the grade level will read each story. The students will be asked to put the pictures in order by first, next, and last. This can be done on the the first, next, last board or on the desk/table. Tell the students to use the information that they heard in the story to sequence the pictures.
To make: Cut out each picture on the dotted line. Laminate each picture card.
Data Sheets: Keep track of your students progress by using the given data sheets. Mark a plus (+) if the student orders the story correctly. Mark a (-) if the student’s answer is incorrect.
