I needed a way to make my phonemic awareness practice a little more fun some days. This build a face game is perfect! Just give a student a word from the list included, and ask them to tell you the first sound in the word. If they get it correct they can pick one piece to put on their face. Each question they answer they get another piece. So fun and engaging.
1. Print out the body and the face pieces. You might want one set for each student in your group.
2. Cut them out.
3. Students will take turns answering questions and building their face.
What you get:
One page of first sound questions to ask.
Two build a face boards
Three pages of feet, hair, eyes, and other accessories.
