Are you looking for a new community- building tradition in your classroom? Do you want a memorable story to tell your students during the first week of school that will make a big impact?
Wiggle, Didgi and Pop is a story about the importance of rules. Three friends set off to live in a land without any rules. Ultimately, they learn that fair rules are important and necessary.
This story is perfect to tell your students right before you develop your classroom rules. It will get them thinking about the reasons why we have rules in the first place and what makes rules fair.
The lesson includes a five page story for you to read aloud to your class. Story character props are included for you to place on your board when sharing the story. Discussion questions are included, as well as a response sheet in which students write and draw about two rules they feel are most important for their own classroom. There is also a home-school connection page (half-sheet) to send home to parents, letting them know about the story and lesson.
Thank you for considering my Wiggle, Didgi and Pop lesson!
