Product Description
Teach the alphabet and accents so that students recognize them and can use them without a second thought! Stay in the target language over 90% of the time and keep the fun times going the first week the activities, games, and songs, in this lesson that will allow even students with zero French knowledge to function in the target language in your classroom within the first few days of school.

This lesson is designed for the secondary classroom (6-12+) and teaches the French alphabet as well as all five accents, but could be easily adapted for the primary classroom.

The lesson includes the following:
-learning objectives
-vocabulary list
-5 pages of detailed teacher procedures
-3 alphabet related input activities with student handouts (reading/listening) with one available to view in preview
-2 output activities (speaking/writing) available to view in preview
-instructions for playing the Memory game (Le jeu de memoire) with accents
-instructions for playing Hangman (Le pendu) using the classroom commands from lesson 1 of the unit with the alphabet and accents learned in lesson 2
-Printable cards for the Memory game

Your students will amaze themselves with what they will be able to do by the end of this lesson! This is a great way to set the tone for your classroom and create an immersion experience starting the first week. This is the second of seven lessons that make up the first unit that I do with my French I classes that takes about 2.5 to 3 weeks on block scheduling.

As with all of my products, this lesson is classroom tested!:)
