In the first weeks of school, it is very important to build relationships with students and also have them build relationships with each other. Icebreakers and get to know you activities are perfect for this! ELEVEN activities are included in this pack.
What's Included?
-"All About Me" Handout
This handout is an easy way to get to know some facts about your students. Each student gets their own sheet to personalize and write on. They can then share the information with their classmates and you!
-"This Summer, I" BINGO
A get to know each other BINGO sheets based on events that students participated in over the summer. Students will need to talk with each other in order to have their entire board filled in.
-Summer Snapshot
Students will either write or draw three of their favorite summer memories. This would make a great bulletin board or sharing activity!
-My Summer Break Writing Sheet
This sheets provides students with a place to reflect on their summer break. Two sheets are included. One has a space for the for a picture and fewer lines. One as no space for a picture and more lines to write.
-"Let's Learn About Each Other" Colored Candies Guidelines
Students choose a few colored candies and each color represents a question they need to answer about themselves for the class.
-Question and Answer Cards
24 question cards that students can answer in partners, small groups, or as a whole class.
-Two Truths & a Lie Sheet
The sheet includes rules for two truths and a lie and space for them to write their three statements. This prevents them from forgetting their statements during the game!
-"The ABC's of Me"
Students are given a graphic organizer with a two column chart. One side has the letters of the alphabet; the other has blank spaces. In the blank spaces, students should write words or phrases that describe them or things about themselves.
-Predictions for ___ Grade
This sheet provides students with a place to write their predictions for the upcoming year. Two sheets are included. One has a space for a picture and fewer lines. One has no space for a picture and more lines to write on. Grade specific sheets are included for grades 1-5.
-"My first day of school was..."
These sheets provide students with a place to reflect on their first day of school. Two sheets are included. One has a space for the for a picture and fewer lines. One as no space for a picture and more lines to write on.

This sheet is a survey to get a sense of your students’ reading and math habits early in the year.
