Kinders grow SO MUCH throughout the school year. I love to show my students how much they have grown at the end of the year by letting them see the difference in their drawings and name writing.
I have students write their name at the top and draw a picture of themselves on the first day of school. I hold onto this copy throughout the school year. On the last day of school I give students the opportunity to write their name and draw a picture of themselves again. After they have finished their work, I give them their picture from the first day of school. Students love sitting in my rocking chair and showing the rest of the class how different their two pictures are!
