First and Last Day of School Name and Portrait

Included:

- A page for students to do their best drawing themselves and writing their name the first day of school (or first week, or whenever students join your class)

- A page for students to do their best drawing themselves and writing their name the last day of school (or anytime towards the end of the school year)

Put both first and last day pages together and It is so cool to see their progress!!!

Each school year I LOVE to have my students complete these! On the first day of school (or first week because let’s be real first day can be hectic, or whenever a student joins my class), I provide crayons, pencils (really any materials you may want) and I ask my students to just do their best to draw themselves and write their names (later I will typically write in the year and grade, or you can have them do it if you think they’re ready). I will keep these all school year. Then, towards the last week, or last day of school, I once again provide materials and I ask my students to just do their best to draw themselves and write their names (later I will typically write in the year and grade, or maybe by the end of the year your students may be ready to do it themselves). Finally, it is so cool to pull out the first day of school ones and put with the last day of school ones (again, I won’t tell if you don’t do it exactly the first and last day), and see the undoubted progress your students have made! I love to send them home as part of a memory book, or end of school year gift. Plus, with the year and date on it, it will be priceless to parents/guardians, and easy for them and students to look back on and remember.
