This download contains a morning worksheet for every weekday from August 22 to December 23. Your students will write their name, color in the day of the week, trace over the date, count groups of dimes and pennies, and nickels and pennies, tell time to the quarter hour, add double digits with no regrouping, and add/subtract teens from single digits. There are also a variety of ELA skills on the pages. Students will identify beginning blends, and rhymes. They will read, trace and write first grade sight words and find the words in a simple one-line word search. They will also read a short story using first grade sight words and answer three comprehension questions.
With the exception of the double digit without regrouping and add/subtract teens from single digits, this set is identical to my set, First/Second Grade Morning Work August through December
The pages follow the same format every day, and from week to week. This familiarity will promote independence once the students have learned and understood the tasks.
The preview contains the first week of worksheets. Please feel free to download the preview and use it with your students to decide if this product is a good fit for your classroom.
If you like this product, the remainder of the school year is available here:
First/Second Grade Morning Work January through June with Double Digit Addition
The calculation section in the last part of the year includes double digit addition with regrouping. The money skills are also increased to count groups of dimes, nickels and pennies.
These worksheets are prepared for 2016. I will update these next year. If you purchase now, you will also be able to download the revised version with current dates to use again next year.
