PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will read informational text about fish anatomy and biology with advanced vocabulary. Students will become familiar with the advanced vocabulary during a word search. They are encouraged to define the terms in their own words and include a picture to show that they understand the concept.

Then students will read about the relationship between underwater location and the shape of the caudal fin. They have to circle the tail shape that a tuna would have. You could extend this activity by having students search the internet and find fish that have each of the types of caudal fins shown and explain in their own words why each fish has that tail shape.
