Students "go fishing" to discover the positive and negative effects humans can have on animal populations. In Part 1, this fully scripted lesson guides group leaders through a simple and fun popultion density experiment that illustrates how easily the balance of nature can be disrupted. In Part 2, students are instructed on how to use a computer to graph their results and look for trends. Both parts of the Fish Populations lesson include detailed group leader worksheets with answers and talking points.
