**Mary L. Spencer is the Founder/Executive Director of the American Reading Corps, LLC (ARC), a reading intervention and educational publishing company. Each summer, ARC provides daily, one-on-one, intensive reading intervention to students with Dyslexia and/or reading comprehension weakness. She also provides pro bono services each year. Her current client is the Denver Boys & Girls Club.
***Mary has 17 years of experience in K-12 education. Her experience includes literacy coaching in 25 schools, onsite school reform consulting, classroom teaching, school counseling and K-12 educator preparation program development. She has worked for Lindamood-Bell, the Colorado Department of Education, Jones International University and Denver Public Schools. She recently taught 3rd grade at Grant Ranch K-8 School in Denver and is now the Director of Assessment for the School of Education at Colorado Christian University. She lives in the rolling foothills outside Denver with a beautiful German shepherd, two silly cats and numerous tropical fish.
