This is the classic game of Go Fish, but instead of regular cards, kids are using multiplication cards. Students need to match a basic multiplication fact with an area model (array) of the problem.
For some of my kids, it was easier for them to write the answer on the front of the card, and it actually got my kids thinking about the products of the multiplication equations they were looking for.
Honestly, at this point in the year, this is great to use as review. I used this game in a center and the kids had a blast. It was just a good refresher for the students, especially at the point in the year where we're trying to cram so much in before the state tests.
Hope you and your kids enjoy!
