Product Description
Here is a game that I created in which students have the opportunity to practice phonemic awareness with common digraphs. The templates for the game and the lesson plan that I created are included in this package. To create the game you will need to cut out the fish and glue paperclips on the back. I would recommend laminating them so that they last longer. Then, you will need to create a "fishing pole" using a wooden dowel and string. Attach a magnet to the end of the string so that the students can actually "catch" the fish. I also glued the fishing reels on the wooden dowels to make them actually look like fishing poles. If you do not want to go through the trouble of gluing paperclips on the fish and making fishing poles this game can be played without them. The children would simply pick up the fish cards with their hands rather than "catching" them with the fishing pole.
