Fishing for Good Articulation Game is an interactive articulation game that targets initial, medial and final S sounds and initial s blend sounds.
This game contains 18 fish with pictures that have initial S sounds, 18 fish with pictures that have medial S sounds, 18 fish with pictures that have final S sounds, 18 fish with pictures that have initial S blend sounds and 8 treasure fish.
1.) Laminate and cut around the fish or on the dotted lines.
2.) Add a paper clip to each fish.
3.) Make each student a fishing pole using a pencil, string and a magnet.
4.) Place all the fish in a box or basket on the table.
5.) Play Fishing for treasure or Match your Fish.
Fishing For Treasure: Use the fish with the treasure and the fish with the student's targeted sounds. Each student goes fishing and practices saying the pictures on the fish they caught. For practice at the sentence level each student replies, "I caught a ..." Play until the treasure is found. If students are working on different sounds separate their fish into different baskets.
Match the Fish: Give each student an uncut page of fish. Each student takes a turn fishing and practices saying the pictures on the fish. If the fish matches the mat they place it on top. If the fish does not match they throw it back in the ocean. For practice at the sentence level each student replies, "I caught a ..." or "I threw back a..." Play until a player covers their mat with fish.
