Students can solve addition and subtraction word problems in their fishy books by cutting & pasting the fish cut-outs (available in color and black & white) in their fish bowl to illustrate each word problem. Students could also use fish stickers to illustrate each word problem.
There are a total of 12 pages (2 per page) with the last 2 pages allowing students to create their own addition/subtraction word problem. The fishy addition word problem book and the fishy subtraction word problem book can be printed in color or black and white.
These fishy word problems are easy to read word problems like: "I see 3 fish. I see 3 more. How many fish can I see?", "There are 6 fish. There is 1 more fish. How many fish are there?", "I see 3 fish. 2 fish swam away. How many fish can I see?", and "There are 10 fish. 5 fish hid behind a rock. How many fish are there?"
To create a book cut each page on the dotted line and staple together.
These fishy word problem books are great for math centers.
