PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Fist-to-Five protocol can be used for many reasons. This is a great silent visual signal. It might be used as a method to check your students’ or audience’s understanding of your lesson or presentation, or it might be used as a means of voting. Various curricula for ELA and Math suggest using this protocol within the lessons. I've included 3 versions; each version having a single page, pages to use to create a large poster (prep required), and mini versions for students to tape to desk tops or glue into interactive or other notebooks. All pages are INK FRIENDLY.

Set One:
Fist = zero or “I don’t understand at all.”
1 = “I need help.”
2 = “I could use more practice.”
3 = “I understand pretty well.”
4 = “I mostly understand.”
5 = “I completely understand.”

Set Two and Three:
Fist = zero or “I don’t agree at all.” or “NO WAY!”
1 = “I just barely agree.” or “I don’t hate it.”
2 = “I don’t agree much but will go along.” or “I don’t like it much.”
3 = “I agree with some but not all.” or “It’s alright or okay.”
4 = “I mostly agree.” or “I like it a lot.”
5 = “I completely agree.” or “I LOVE IT!!”
