These notes used in conjunction with the PowerPoint teaches students about various fitness injuries associated with being active teens. It includes sprains, tendonitis, dislocations, fractures and stress fractures.
Concussions are discussed as well as tips to avoid this injury.
Students are also given an brief list of other injuries such as hypothermia, hyperthermia, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, frostbite, sunburn and dizziness. Students are given basic care for injuries by using PRICE. (Protect, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation)
