Use the Fitness Skill Board to help facilitate physical activity in 6 areas (flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardio-respiratory endurance, balance and core). The board design helps students identify the focus for each exercise while allowing for individual selection of exercises. To use in group settings students can perform an exercise selected by a peer or select their individual exercise from a column/category selected by a partner or teammate.
Examples for use:
6 in a row "BINGO": students select exercises with the goal to complete 6 in a row within an allotted time.
Dice Roll: students roll a die and select an exercise from the coordinating column then perform for a designated time or quantity.
"JENGA" : with pre-colored jenga pieces, students take turns pulling a JENGA piece and performing an exercise from the coordinating color.
Squad/ Small-group fitness: students take turns selecting a category or exercise for their small group to perform for a designated amount of time
