Five Bump is a 2-player game that allows students to practice multiplying by the number 5. Players take turns rolling two dice and deciding whether to add or subtract the numbers. Then, players multiply the sum or difference by the number 5 and place one of their counters on the product found on the game board. But be careful, your opponent can "bump" you off and give you back your counter. The first player to play all of their counters wins the game. This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics and makes for a fun class game or standards-based learning center for students needing practice with the basic facts of multiplication.
