Five Fat Turkeys is a super fun folk song that is a favorite with my students! We sing it every year in Novemeber and December. We create actions, sing, play a game, play instruments, and fill out different printables to learn about low sol or half notes!

There are two different versions included in the powerpoints, because there is an eighth note pick up. My students haven't learned that, so we are replacing the eighth rest-eighth note pattern with a quarter note. It is available in the powerpoint both ways, so that you can pick.

There are also a few different ostinati versions so that you can choose what works in your elementary music room!

This product includes a powerpoint, three printable activities, and a printable lesson plan. All of the rhythms are available in regular and stick notation!

You can hear the song and watch me walk through the lesson here!
