Directions for use:
I have students orally read aloud during small group instruction. We discuss what was read as a group. I have turned the questions into a statement with answer blanks. This is the beginning of teaching students turn questions into statements independently. Reasoning behind this systematic way of answering questions – I find it focuses students on the question and they are less likely be off topic with their answer.
It also helps them go back to the text and find the evidence needed to answer their question.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I will try to help out in any way.
