Product Description
Kiddos LOVE telling, re-telling and acting out poems like "Five Little Leprechauns" over and over again! This "Five Little Leprechauns" re-telling craftivity is yet another way for students to have fun with this original, engaging poem! For a better look, just click on PREVIEW!

Students will be making a re-telling envelope that features the poem on one side and a pot-of-gold picture on the other side. They will then make leprechaun stick-puppets by cutting out the characters and gluing them onto the ends of five craft sticks. These can be used to mimic the actions of the five little leprechauns as they're searching for their treasure! When they are ready to take it home and read the poem to parents, the stick-puppets can be placed inside the envelope and it's ready to go! You'll also find a poem poster to display in class and leprechaun hats for dramatic play and re-telling.... So fun!

Here's my version of this cute little poem......

Five little leprechauns were searching high and low.
The first one said, “Look! We found a rainbow!”
The second one said, “The treasure is here, I'm told”
The third one said, “Keep your fingers off my gold!”
The fourth one said, “We should dance a jig and play.”
The fifth one said, “Why not? It's St. Patrick's Day!”
Then… plink, plink went the harp. Tap, tap went their toes.
Swish, swish through the grass.
Where did they go? No one knows.
