Five Little Poems BUNDLE -- 9 Poem Craftivities with Stick Puppets & Story Props

Kiddos LOVE telling, re-telling and acting out poems like "Five Little Pumpkins" or "Five Little Snowmen" over and over again! This BUNDLED SET includes re-telling craftivities and story props for nine, seasonal "Five Little ___" poems.... a terrific way to engage students and foster a love of poetry! For each poem, students will be making a re-telling envelope that features a "Five Little ___" poem on one side and a corresponding picture on the other side. They will then make stick-puppets by gluing pictures of the story characters onto the ends of craft sticks. Students can use the stick puppets to act-out the actions and dialogue of the characters. When students are ready to take their story envelopes home and read the poem to parents, the stick-puppets can be placed inside the envelope and it's ready to go!

Each set also includes a poem poster to display in class, along with story props such as character hats and necklaces to use for dramatic play and re-telling. I always like to select five kiddos each day to wear the story props and recite the dialogue for the characters as the rest of the class reads the poem out loud together..... So fun!
