Kiddos LOVE telling, re-telling and acting out the "Five Little Pumpkins" poem over and over again! This "Five Little Pumpkins" re-telling craftivity is yet another way for students to have fun with this terrific poem!
Students will be making a re-telling envelope that features the poem on one side and a gate picture on the other side. They will then make pumpkin stick-puppets by cutting out five little pumpkins and gluing them onto the ends of five craft sticks. These can be stuck into the top of the envelope to mimic the pumpkins sitting on the gate. When they are ready to take it home and read the poem to parents, the pumpkin sticks can be placed inside the envelope and it's ready to go!
I hope your kiddos have as much fun with this project as mine always do!
