Product Description
This is a 40 page packet all about the traditional poem "Five Little Pumpkins". There are several {differentiated} versions, which are all aligned to Common Core State Standards: RLK.2, RLK.5, LK.6, RFK.1b, RFK.2a

**NOTE: The poem should be presented and taught by the classroom teacher either whole-group or small group before having the students do it independently.**

Included in the packet:
-"I Can" posters to help students be independent with the poem (if used in literacy centers)
-2 Titles {color and b&w} to put at the top of the pocket chart
-Sentence strips (2.5"x10") to cut apart and use in a pocket chart (2 versions: number words and numbers)
-Poem for a child to put together and then read to a friend.
-Poem for child to put together, write the rhyming words, and then read it to a friend
-Poem for child to put together, circle or highlight the rhyming words, and then read it to a friend
-"Speak it, Fill it": Put the pieces together, read/recite the poem, color in a circle (recording sheet) for each spoken word.
-"Speak it, Fill it": Put the pieces together, read/recite the poem, and use counters/chips/tiles to push up for each spoken word.
-"Recall it": Students will cut 1-5 pumpkins and match them to what each pumpkin said.
-"Draw it": 2 versions: blank template for children to draw what happened in the poem AND a template with a gate for children to draw what happened in the poem.
-Individual poem for students to keep in their book box/baggie (2 per page to save on paper)
