For this "Five Senses Discovery Kit Unit," I created five discovery kits in my classroom that groups of students rotated between (Examples: A hearing kit with musical instruments. A taste kit with candy, spices, snack food, etc. A smell kit with jars of different spices, perfumes, etc. A sight kit with glasses, books, etc. A touch kit with soft, hard, rough, and smooth things.) Students would then use the discovery tub/kit worksheet to make their observation about what type of kit it was; then they'd move on to the next kit. At the end of the lesson, students would write about their favorite tub/ kit. In the tub, students would draw different things that were in their favorite tub/ kit. They could label the items they drew as well. Then, they'd fill in the blank with which tub/ kit was their favorite.
*I have posted the "Five Senses Book Cover Page" that goes along with favorite discovery tub/ kit writing page as well. It can be purchased separately.*
*Also, TPT thumbnails have messed up the formatting somehow, but when you download it, all of the formatting is correct. If you want to see pictures of the product in its correct format, I will send them before you purchase the document.*
