This "higher order thinking" flip-flap book is the perfect project for your kiddos to work on throughout your 5 senses unit or as a summative assessment.
There are 8 total pages in the flip-flap book that cover science, writing, and math skills.
TWO VERSIONS are included: One for proficient writers and one for non or beginning writers! You choose the best fit!

Properties of Taste:
Name and illustrate 4 or more properties of taste (sour...).
Why It's Important:
Use higher order thinking skills to discuss (version 1) /draw (version 2) how we use our senses to learn about the world and what our world would be like if we did NOT have 1 of our senses.
Facts About Hearing / Things We Hear:
Recall important facts about the sense of hearing (version 1) or label and illustrate 4 things we can hear (version 2).
The NOSE Knows:
List and illustrate things you DO LIKE to smell and things you DO NOT like to smell.
What's Your Opinion:
Ask classmates if they believe the sense of touch or sight is more useful and include the data on a graph. Then write (version 1) / draw (version 2) about WHICH you believe is most useful and WHY!
Which Senses Do We Use?:
Use higher order thinking skills to determine which senses we use with every day objects such as with popcorn or their pet.
