Get your students up and moving with this week long unit on the five senses.
This unit includes full lesson plans and student task cards (with pictures). It is designed to be used as a week long, centers-based exploration unit.
Monday: Build schema, read a book about senses, and complete the data sheet in their science notebooks.
Tuesday-Thursday: Students will visit a series of centers, investigating each of their five senses. Directions and suggestions are included for each station. (Data sheets and/or student books are included with each center.)
Friday: Students will review the senses used and put together a potato head, labeling the senses used with each body part. (Template is included.)
Centers/activities can also be spread out throughout the week if needed.
