This is an interactive, predictable patterned book for toddlers and preschoolers. It can be used for motor patterning, music therapy, choral responding, simple rhyming, and just plain language fun.
Laminate and bind the cover and book pages into a book, or place pages in sheet protectors in a ring binder. Laminate and cut small monster pictures. Have the child place the matching monster on the page as it is read, then have the monster fall off the bed at the appropriate place in the chant.
A template for a monster “Craftivity” is included. Trace or print on colored construction paper. Have students color, cut, glue, and assemble their own unique monsters. Pompoms, sequins, foamies, glitter, ribbon, and yarn can be used for added decoration.
