Rather than giving my students sentences that I created to correct, I took their own mistakes and made a center I like to call "Fix It Felix!" The students read other children's mistakes and have to re-write the sentences correctly. The font allows students to see how letters should be formed because they sometimes need reminders about when to use capital letters. This can be used with emergent writers, Kindergarten-Second grade students. It is especially helpful for children with OT difficulties. This activity can be put into a dry erase sleeve and used again and again OR it can be sent home as weekend/break homework. This can be used with any reading/writing program as it causes students to check for capitalization, spacing, punctuation, and sense of sentence!
* I obviously do not own the rights to Felix from Wreck-It Ralph. This is just a creative way to motivate my students and encourage them to feel confident when writing.
