Here's another get-up-and-move grammar activity for secondary students!
In this activity, students pair up, decide how to best combine two full sentences, and record their new creation independently. Then they find a new partner and repeat! I set my time for 10-15 minutes after giving instructions, then offer candy to students who finish. They have very few questions during the race against the clock, then are confident in using semicolons and commas+FANBOYS in addition to separating sentences with periods!
