Fixing Tools begins with notes on two methods for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing unlike fractions. Then it may be followed with a matching game. Continue students mastering of the concepts with practice sheet problem solving activities, a taxonomy cube, and problem solving strategy pyramid.
While "I See, You See and We See Not" is an activity for two-step computation with unlike fractions and mixed numbers, taxonomy cube requires students to use knowledge, understanding, application, and creativity skills. These review activities may be played at a low or an advanced level. These real-life situations( for the review activity)are applied on the taxonomy and mini-assessments. A blank taxonomy has been provided, so your students may make up a word problem or data and different level questions for the problem. Then let them switch and answer another person's questions.
