This lab uses splints dipped in various solutions of salts to produce characteristics colors, otherwise known as a flame test. This lab is a great reinforcement of the concept of electron excitation.
My labs are straightforward. Some of them are paper labs, but the ones that involve significant laboratory setup or calculations to be made on the part of the teacher are written about in a Teacher Notes section at the end of those particular labs. I use relatively safe and inexpensive chemicals. Of course, safety precautions are always noted at the beginning of the lab.
To remove the "Wickline" watermark, select the Watermark from the Insert menu, then select No Watermark.
