This is a versatile teaching resource for teaching Art History.
First, I use the ppt file to introduce 19th Century Art.
This ppt file can also be printed to produce flash cards. I do this by printing 2 slides per page in the ppt print dialogue box. I then laminate the cards and use them for a variety of games in the classroom:
Heads up! : In this game, student holds card to forehead so the class can see it, but they can't. Other students give clues (period, backstory, etc) and student has to guess the artist or title.
What is the Period? : In this game, students work in groups to place artworks in the correct Art Period
Timeline: Students work in groups to place the artworks or art periods in their correct chronological order.
